Delivery & setup

Ships curbside by LTL freight on a pallet or in a crate. Transit is typically 3–21 business days after dispatch, depending on your state and the carrier's route.

The freight carrier calls the phone number on your order to book a delivery window. Someone must be present to receive the shipment.

Curbside means the driver brings the shipment to the end of your driveway or building entrance, not inside. Plan for help to move it to its final spot.

Before you sign the delivery receipt, inspect the crate or pallet on all sides and photograph it. Note any dents, punctures or crushed corners on the receipt itself.

Report damage or a shortage within 7 days of delivery by emailing support with your order number and photos. Damage noted on the delivery receipt is the fastest to resolve.

Site: a level, dry surface rated for the assembled weight, with clearance around the cabin for airflow and for reaching the heater. An outdoor model needs a spot that drains and is not in standing water.

Electrical: the heater needs a dedicated circuit. Many electric sauna heaters run on 220–240V and must be hardwired; some smaller models plug into a standard outlet. A licensed electrician confirms the exact voltage, breaker size and wiring for your model before it is powered.

Assembly: panel saunas are designed for two people with basic hand tools. Allow a few hours, and follow the manufacturer's sequence for panels, roof, benches and heater.

Wood-fired models need clearance to combustibles and a stovepipe run that meets local code. Check with your local authority before installing.

Warranty & returns

Manufacturer warranty terms vary by product and are stated in the documentation that ships with it. If a warranty claim is needed, email support with your order number and we handle it with the manufacturer on your behalf.

14-day returns: contact support within 14 days of delivery for a return authorization. Items must be unused and in their original packaging.

On a non-defective return the buyer pays return shipping. Freight items may be subject to a restocking fee, which is confirmed before the return is booked.

Damaged on arrival, defective or wrong-item orders are replaced or refunded at no cost to you once the damage report is received.

Pay in full at checkout or split the total with Shop Pay Installments. Checkout is secured by Shopify, and card details never reach us.

Support is by email; replies come from a real person, not a bot.

Questions

Do I need an electrician?

For an electric heater, yes. Most heaters need a dedicated 220–240V circuit and a licensed electrician determines the exact requirements for your model and panel. Wood-fired saunas need no electrical work.

Can the sauna go outside?

Only models sold as outdoor saunas are built for it. Place an outdoor sauna on a level, draining surface with clearance around it, and keep the heater and controls protected from standing water.

How long does assembly take?

Plan for two people and a few hours. Panels, roof and benches go together with basic hand tools; the heater's electrical connection is the one step that needs a licensed electrician.

How is it delivered?

By LTL freight, curbside, on a pallet or in a crate. The carrier calls to book a delivery window. Inspect and photograph the packaging before signing.

Is the heater included?

Only when the Specs block above lists a heater, or the listing title says so. On most of our cabins the heater is chosen separately, because the right size depends on the build you pick and on whether you want a wall-mounted or floor-standing stove — we sell matching 3–9kW heaters and can add one to your order before it ships.

Which heater size (kW) do I need?

Size the heater to the room's interior volume: roughly 1kW for every 45–50 cubic feet (1.3–1.4 m³) of cabin, with more if a wall is glass or the cabin is outdoors in a cold climate. As a guide, a 2-person barrel is usually 4.5–6kW, a 3–4 person cabin 6–8kW, and a 1.8 x 2.4m build 9kW. Always confirm against the heater's own rated room range before wiring it.

What is included, and what is sold separately?

Included: the cabin staves or wall panels, roof, door, benches, interior floor duckboards where the build has them, and the assembly hardware and instructions. Sold separately unless the Specs block lists them: the heater and its guard, sauna stones, lighting, bucket and ladle, thermometer/hygrometer, backrests and an outdoor cover. Ask and we will quote the accessories with the cabin so everything arrives together.

Does it come with lights?

Lighting is not included unless the Specs block above lists it. Sauna-rated lights must be heat-safe and sealed, so we supply them as a separate add-on rather than fitting a generic fixture.

What wood is it, and is it solid or spliced?

The species is in the Specs block above, and we do not substitute it. Our cedar cabins use solid timber staves or panels — not finger-jointed offcuts — and the thickness is listed with the build.

Is the back wall closed, or glass?

Barrel and cabin builds have a solid timber rear wall unless a rear window is listed in the Specs block or shown in the photos. The glass door and any front window inserts are tempered and weather-sealed.

What are the exact dimensions, and how big is the crate?

Exterior and interior dimensions for the build you select are in the Specs block above, with the shipping weight. Cabins arrive flat-packed in a wooden freight crate that is longer and heavier than the assembled cabin looks — measure your access route (gates, side passages, steps) before delivery day.

Does it arrive assembled?

No — it ships flat-packed with the staves, wall sections, door frame, benches and roof pre-cut and pre-drilled. Two people assemble it with basic hand tools in a few hours, in the manufacturer's sequence. Only the heater's electrical connection needs a licensed electrician.

Can I control it from my phone?

Only with a heater whose own controller supports it. Some external digital controllers offer WiFi scheduling; the cabin itself has no electronics. Tell us if you want a WiFi-capable controller and we will quote the heater that has it.

Will this come by USPS, UPS or FedEx?

No. An item this size and weight never ships by parcel — it goes by LTL freight on a pallet or in a crate, curbside, with a delivery appointment. If a marketplace listing ever shows a parcel carrier on a freight item, that is a listing error on our side, not a different product: email us with the order number and we confirm the freight booking.

When does it ship, and how do I track it?

Your order is placed with the warehouse the same or next business day, and you get a confirmation from us then — you will not be left wondering. Freight shipments carry a PRO (tracking) number as soon as the carrier collects, and we send it to you with the carrier's name and phone number; the carrier then calls you to book the delivery window.

Can you send photos of the actual unit?

Yes. Every listing shows the model you are buying, and we can send extra photos of that build on request — ask before you order and we will send them.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. Shop Pay Installments is offered at checkout on eligible orders, so you can split the total into payments with no impact on the order or delivery.

How do I contact support?

Email us through the contact page with your order number. A real person reads every message and answers by email.
